BIG APPLE CIRCUS Opens at Damrosch Park in Lincoln Center to Thrill Guests

The Big Apple Circus is now in full swing at Damrosch Park on the grounds of Lincoln Center in New York City. There is a full schedule of shows that will be performed through January 27. It's a perfect time to gather your group and enjoy the fun and festivity of one of the most entertaining circuses in the world. It is a fabulous and iconic show that appeals to young and old alike. Broadwayworld.com had the pleasure of attending the circus' exciting opening night performance on Sunday, October 28 when Tinsley Mortimer, the socialite from "Real Housewives of New York" was the celebrity ringmaster. Other celebrities included Tinsley's fellow cast members, Dorinda Medley, Sonja Morgan, and Ramona Singer. They were joined by models, Arlenis Sosa, Alina Baikova, and Chey Carty. Other famous guests included Samantha Barks from "Pretty Woman," Will Roland from "Be More Chill," and Lesli Marghertia from "Homeland." It was great to see so many stars coming out to enjoy the circus.

Big Apple Circus is world renowned for its one-ring, intimate and artistic style, where no seat is more than 50 feet from the performers. This close up view insures that you catch every bit of the action as it happens. The show features a wide variety of acts including Virginia Tuells & her husband Ihosvanys Perez in DUO FUSION, an acrobatic act that combines dance, strength, flexibility and passion. There's the hilarious SPICY CIRCUS, created by Andréanne Quintal, whose team of performers bounce off the walls in a fascinating trampoline act. THE FLYING TUNIZIANIS, a double-wide trapeze act, showcases the daring of seven fliers and two catchers along with an unbelievable quadruple somersault by Ammed Tuniziani. DESIRE OF FLIGHT is a stunning and daring and balletic dual aerial straps act. And audiences will surely be laughing at the comedic talents of Mark Gindick and Adam Kuchler. Whether you like juggling, acrobatics, clever pups or high-flying thrills, you will thrill to the breathtaking entertainment of the Big Apple Circus.
