Am I Blue by Beth Henley
Am I Blue takes place in 1968 New Orleans. A streetwise teenager, Ashbe Williams, meets a lonely frat-boy, John Polk, in a crummy bar on the night he plans on losing his virginity to a prostitute. She invites him to her cluttered apartment where she tries to bridge a connection by showing him her abundance of crafts, and telling him her fantasies. Both of their nights become a little less lonely.
