Audra McDonald & Will Swenson Set For Valentine's Day Shakespeare Reading
Five-time Tony Award-winner Audra McDonald joins with real-life romantic partner and fellow stage stalwart Will Swenson for a special pre-Valentine's Day reading of William Shakespeare's epic poem VENUS & ADONIS next month at the Public Theater according to a new listing.
The official description of VENUS & ADONIS as follows: "Public Forum Drama Club will celebrate Valentine's Day with a reading and discussion of Shakespeare's epic poem about the pleasure and pain of love, Venus and Adonis. The young Adonis is seduced by the goddess Venus, with uncomfortable consequences for all of us. Reading the poem and discussing love in the modern day will be Will Swenson, Audra McDonald, and others."
Audra McDonald and Will Swenson in VENUS & ADONIS a the Public Theater will be presented on February 10 at 7 PM.
Of note, VENUS & ADONIS will be presented as part of the Public Theater's Public Forum Drama Club Series.
