Ashmanskas, Testa and Dokuchitz Join Amanda Green for Free Concert & Signing, Feb. 22

Three Broadway favorites will join songwriter Amanda Green in a free half-hour concert and CD signing at Tower Records (1961 Broadway at 66th St.) on Wednesday, February 22nd at 6 PM.
Brooks Ashmanskas (Gypsy, The Producers, Little Me), Jonathan Dokuchitz (Hairspray, The Boys from Syracause, Into the Woods) and Mary Testa (Chicago, Marie Christine, On the Town) will join Green in performing songs from Green's CD "Put A Little Love in Your Mouth." Tom Kitt, the composer with whom Green is adapting the hit film High Fidelity into a Broadway-bound musical, will accompany the performers at the piano.The winner of two MAC Awards, a Bistro Award and the recipient of a 2004 Jonathan Larson Award and grant for excellence in songwriting, Green is the daughter of a man who knew a thing or two about writing lyrics--Adolph Green. She recently penned additional lyrics for a production of Styne, Comden and Green's Hallelujah, Baby at Washington D.C.'s Arena Stage; the show is slated to come to New York in 2006. She also co-starred in and wrote the lyrics for For the Love of Tiffany: a Wifetime Original Musical, which played the 2003 New York International Fringe Festival, and other credits include the LA musical Up the Week Without a Paddle and her hit revue Put A Little Love in Your Mouth: The Tongue-in-Cheek Songs of Amanda Green.
