Artist Take Action! is a not-for-profit organization created by artists, for artists, to benefit arts education in inner-city public schools. Their mission: to support, encourage and enrich positive thinking in the arts and its future.

This hour long concert will feature the students showcasing some songs from their up-coming production of the musical SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD. Along side them will be Broadway caliber performers, including LaQuett Scharnell (MEMPHIS), Colin MacAdoo (Disney's TOY STORY), Dan'yelle Williamson (THE LION KING), and more!

Admission will be sold for $25 each. However, parents of Gramercy Arts H.S. students will receive a 50% discount, and students from the Gramercy Arts H.S. student body will be admitted free of charge. It is certain to be a musically uplifting and inspiring experience for both the audience and performers!

Artists Take Action! Founder and Co-Producer, Eli Zoller, says of their motivation for launching this event, "Good art with good intentions is getting ignored, as are the children in our public schools who are lacking a decent arts education. Forming Artists Take Action! is the ideal way to begin solving these problems. It is in the interest of everyone that children be given arts education opportunities to create open-minded, free-thinking, fully educated adults."
