The Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts (RHCPA) brings to the stage famed comedian, TV host, actor and producer, Arsenio Hall, for one night only on tonight, October 22, 2015 at 8pm. Best known for his Emmy-award winning late night talk show, The Arsenio Hall Show, Hall makes his only stop in Ontario for an evening of stand-up comedy.

For five years from 1989-1994, The Arsenio Hall show provided a forum for cutting edge comedy, politics and the television debut of musical superstars such as Mariah Carey, Snoop Dogg, Boys II Men and more. Frequent guests included Eddie Murphy, George Lopez, Andrew "Dice" Clay and Paula Abdul. He hosted then-presidential candidate, Bill Clinton, and his performance of "Heartbreak Hotel" on the saxophone. Famously Arsenio quipped "It's nice to see a Democrat blow something besides the election". The appearance is often considered an important moment in Clinton's political career, helping build his popularity among minority and young voters. Clinton went on to win the election in November 1992. Hall continued with many projects over the last 20 years and will return to his stand-up roots in Richmond Hill.

Located in historic downtown, the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts is a 631 seat, state of the art cultural facility which offers a full season of professional entertainment celebrating the many cultures of the community. The Centre is also a home for Richmond Hill's diverse arts community, creating a destination in the downtown core, and is a major venue to bring Canadian and international performances to York Region.
