Alfred Molina to Star in Upcoming 'Law & Order: Los Angeles'

According to Deadline.com, actor Alfred Molina will join Skeet Ulrich on NBC's upcoming spinoff of "Law & Order," called, "Law & Order: Los Angeles." Molina will play Deputy D.A. Morales.

Creator-executive producer Dick Wolf said, "I am thrilled that Fred is LOLA's Deputy D.A. He joins a remarkable list of some of America's greatest character actors like Sam Waterson, Vincent D'Onofrio, Jeff Goldblum, Steven Hill, Diane Wiest, and Michael Moriarty as stars of the "Law & Order"-branded series."

Ulrich will play Detective Rex Winters, one of two detectives at the center of the crime procedural. Production on the show is slated to begin on Aug. 2 and will premiere on Sept. 22 premiere.

Molina recently starred in RED on Broadway and receive a Tony-nomination. He can currently be seen in the film "The Sorcerer's Apprentice." "Law & Order: Los Angeles" will mark Molina's first regular series gig since the 2002 show "Bram and Alice."
