Actor's Scene Unseen Hosts Auditions for 'The Fifth Sun' CD, 6/26 & 6/28

By:

Actors Scene Unseen is holding by-appointment-only auditions for its latest CD production of "The Fifth Sun" by Nicholas Patricca. This CD will be Actors Scene Unseen's Spoken Word Grammy Award entry for 2010. "The Fifth Sun" recounts the story of the assassination of Archbishop Oscar Romero in 1980 in San Salvador.

Auditionees with strong voice acting skills are invited to make an appointment to read for one or more roles. Strong ability to perform in a credible Spanish accent is preferred. One character requires an Italian accent. The following roles are available:

Oscar Romero - The Archbishop of Sal Salvador
Ann Dunn - An American Nun
Hector Navarez - A Young Salvadoran Priest
Rutilio Grande - A Middle-aged Salvadoran Priest
The Nuncio - A Papal Envoy to El Salvador
The Colonel - A Salvadoran Military Officer
Manuel - A Salvadoran Boy and assistant to Rutilio

There is also a small chorus that doubles the following roles:

Bishops
Mayan Deities
Strike Organizers
US Congressmen
Villagers

Auditions will be held Saturday 6/26/2010 3PM to 7PM and Monday 6/28/2010 from 7PM to 10PM at our uptown studio on 7th Street. Send an email to producer@colorview.com to request an audition appointment. Auditionees will do cold readings from the script. Auditions may be done in accent and requisite coaching will be available, if cast.

Rehearsal and recording dates will be evenings and weekends beginning in July.
