A SINKING STAR Brings Comedy to New York Winterfest New York City based Playwright Alison Lowenstein and The Playlight Theatre company together present A Sinking Star at this year's New York Winterfest play festival.

Written by Alison Lowenstein, A Sinking Star is a short, one-act comedy that explores the challenges of a marriage when a husband asks his wife to partake in a thrill seeking adventure. As the wife processes the request, the couple begins to see each other and their marriage in a new light in this comedy about the fragile nature of relationships. A Sinking Star is directed by Ben Tostado and stars Killian Lock, Madalyn Pedone and Bianca Roses, with Ascenza Montalbano as Stage Manager.

The show opens on Thursday, January 25th at 9pm, with a performance on Friday, January 27th at 6:15pm and closing night on Sunday, January 28th at 8:30pm. A Sinking Star is performed alongside four other short plays and all performances take place at The Hudson Guild Theater.

A Sinking Star first premiered in August 2017 as a part of the 26 Wild Hours play festival produced by Jack Fellows & The Brooklyn Actor's Troupe at The Wild Project Theater in the East Village. The cast, playwright, and director are all excited to bring this beloved performance back at New York Winterfest.
