A GAMBLER'S GUIDE TO DYING to Open Inis Nua Theatre's Season

Inis Nua Theatre Company will launch its upcoming season with a Philadelphia premiere production by Gary McNair. A Gamber's Guide to Dying, will play at Fergie's Pub for a strictly limited engagement, September 30-October 18, 2026.

A lifelong gambler and habitual storyteller receives a diagnosis that gives him two months to live. He bets that he'll beat the prognosis - but can he out-gamble his own mortality? Told from the perspective of his grandson, and written by one of the playwrights of Inis Nua's 2025 hit show Square Go, this funny and tender tall tale is 'heart-warming, human, searching, and just a touch mysterious, as only the best of stories can be' (The Scotsman).
Directed by award-winning theatre artist Matt Pfeiffer, A Gambler's Guide to Dying features Philly actor and stage/screen writer Jared Michael Delaney in the solo role. The creative team includes Costume Designer Alison Roberts, Sound Designer Mark Jesse Swanson, and Stage Manager Maddy Foler.
The show is part of Inis Nua Theatre Company's Pop-Up Play in a Pub series: each ticket to the performance includes a savory pie and drink voucher, making the experience a complete night out.
