700 Sundays Extents, New Block on Sale February 6th

It was announced today that Billy Crystal will extend his run of 700 SUNDAYS for 55 performances only, through Saturday, May 21, 2005. Tickets for the additional performances will go on sale beginning Sunday, February 6, 2005. A play performed and written by Mr. Crystal with additional content by Alan Zweibel, 700 SUNDAYS is directed by Des McAnuff. Produced by Janice Crystal, Larry Magid and Face Productions, 700 SUNDAYS began preview performances on Friday, November 12, 2004 at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th Street), opened on Sunday, December 5, 2004 and was originally scheduled to play for 16 weeks only, through March 5, 2005.

In its opening week, ending December 11, 2004, 700 SUNDAYS broke the house record for highest weekly gross at the Broadhurst Theatre and has continued to top its own record every week since then, playing only seven performances per week.

The week ending January 16, 2005 marked the highest grossing week, not only for the Broadhurst Theatre, for any non-musical production in Broadway history, taking in $851,290.00 at the box office.

"This show has been the greatest professional experience of my life. The audiences have been fantastic and it's great to be part of the Broadway community. I'm thrilled be able to do it 55 more times," said Billy Crystal.
