60th Annual Tony Awards Honored with WGA Nomination
The writer of the 60th Annual Tony Awards, Dave Boone, was honored today with a Writers Guild of America nomination in the Comedy/Variety - Music, Awards, Tributes, Specials category.
This is the third year in a row that the Tony Awards have been honored with a WGA nomination in this category. The 2007 Writers Guild Awards will take place on Sunday, February 11, 2007, in Los Angeles at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel and simultaneously in New York at the Hudson Theater in the Millennium Broadway Hotel.
The 61st Annual American Theatre Wing's Antoinette Perry "Tony" Awards will be broadcast live on the CBS television network from Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, June 10, 2007.
The Tony Awards are presented by the League of American Theatres and Producers and the American Theatre Wing. At the League, Gerald Schoenfeld is Chairman and Charlotte St. Martin is Executive Director. At the Wing, Sondra Gilman is Chairman, Doug Leeds is President and Howard Sherman is Executive Director. For Tony Award Productions, Elizabeth I. McCann is Managing Producer and Joey Parnes is Coordinating Producer.
