The Hourglass Group will present Real Live Women, a series of six new one-woman shows on Thursday, November 30th and Wednesday, December 6th at the D-Lounge Cabaret. The shows were developed in the group's 2006 Solo Lab program.

Each evening will offer a different program. The breakdown is as follows:

Thursday, November 30th at 7 PM

Christen Clifford's BabyLove

Winner of the "Best of Fringe" award at the San Francisco Fringe Festival, BabyLove is "a show about motherhood and sex, and what happens when your infant son becomes The Other Man."

Yolanda Shoshana's The Chrismahanukwanzakah Monologues

"What is a black Jewish woman to do when she thinks that Christmas leaves Chanukah and Kwanzaa in the dust?  She interviews various people and animals to get to the heart of what the holidays are really about."

Linda Mancini's White Tape

White Tape is a "satiric commentary about why and how people have become American citizens. The focus is on characters who are not spoken about very often, like those who were here already, those who came unwillingly, and those who came unknowingly over the course of the history of this country, and made it their own."

Wednesday, December 6th at 7 PM

Raquel Cion's Cou-Cou Bijoux is Alive, and, Well…

Veronique Jeanmarie's Fifteen Dreams

In Fifteen Dreams," a woman converses with an esteemed broadcast journalist."

Stacey Karen Robinson (Piece Untitled)

"This untitled work is an intimate and irreverent journey into one woman's messy, succulent life. It is also a mourning song."
