TAVERNA COMEDY NIGHT Launches in Astoria
Coming to you today with news that MP Taverna in Astoria, celebrated chef Michael Psilakis' modern Greek spot, is launching a weekly comedy night, aptly called Taverna Comedy.
Kicking off Wednesday August 10th at 730pm, Taverna Comedy will be co-produced by Sean O'Hagan & Erica Spera, two local comedians who know the circuit well. The opening lineup is as follows:
--Anthony DeVito (Comedy Central, The Jim Gaffigan Show)
--Brendan Eyre (Comedy Central)
--Astoria comedian Greg Stone (America's Got Talent, AXSTV)
--Teresa DeGaetano (Wendy William's Show)
The comedy scene is alive and growing in Astoria, with hot spots like Q.E.D and The Standing Room pushing shows on a nightly basis. At Taverna Comedy night you get Michelin star level Greek cuisine by Psilakis, local craft beers and cocktails and an excuse to laugh your ass off through Hump Day.
