Rick Springfield Kicks Off Octoberfest with Fox Cities P.A.C. 9/22

Grammy® Award-winning singer/songwriter Rick Springfield will kick off the 30th Anniversary of Octoberfest on Thursday, September 22 at 8:00 p.m. with a performance at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center. The concert is part of Springfield's "Venus in Overdrive" tour and marks the musician's first appearance at the Fox Cities P.A.C. in a career that spans more than 30 years.

Tickets for Rick Springfield start at $39 and are on sale now. Tickets can be purchased by calling Ticketmaster at (800) 982-2787 or the Center's ticket office at (920) 730-3760. Tickets can also be purchased in person at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center's ticket office or online at foxcitiespac.com.

Skyrocketed to fame in 1981 by his first hit "Jessie's Girl" and his role as Dr. Noah Drake on "General Hospital," Springfield has gone on to release 17 Top 40 hits and sell over 19 million records. Some of his most popular songs include "I've Done Everything for You," "Don't Talk to Strangers," "Human Touch," "Affair of the Heart" and "Love Somebody."

Most recently, Rick Springfield released a collection of lullabies he wrote for his own sons when they were young called "My Precious Little One" in 2009 and "Venus in Overdrive," which debuted at #28 on the Billboard Chart in 2008. His autobiography "Late, Late At Night" was released in October 2010 and reached #13 on The New York Times Hardcover Bestseller List. He continues to perform on tour, playing more than 100 shows per year and attracting new fans with each performance.
