Harry Connick Jr. & More Set for Fox Cities Performing Arts Center this Fall

Fall into the captivating music of the performances coming to the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center in October. Marquee performer Harry Connick, Jr. will take to the Center's stage with his smooth sounds Saturday, Oct. 26. Students from three area schools also will showcase their vocal skills during the 10th AnnuAl Fox Cities Choral Music Festival Tuesday, Oct. 29. And, Hello, Dolly! starring Sally Struthers features an irresistible story and unforgettable score that will round out the month Wednesday, Oct. 30 and Thursday, Oct. 31. The multi-faceted Harry Connick, Jr. will bring his award-winning talent to the Fox Cities P.A.C. The pianist, composer, band leader, actor and philanthropist will perform with his band in support of his new album, "Every Man Should Know." The collection of original material conveys some of Connick's deepest feelings about life and love. During his career, Connick has earned three Grammy awards, two Emmy Awards and two Tony nominations. He also is known for his efforts in helping to rebuild his hometown of New Orleans following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina.

Students from Hortonville, Kimberly and Weyauwega-Fremont high schools will come together during the 10th AnnuAl Fox Cities Choral Music Festival. The tradition of choral excellence continues under the direction of guest director Henry H. Leck as the thre e choirs learn, grow and sing as one. Leck, artistic director of the Indianapolis Children's Choir, founded the organization in 1986. Hello, Dolly! starring Sally Struthers is a charming show, which has won 10 Tony Awards including Best Musical. Struthers ("All in the Family" and "Gilmore Girls") shines in the spotlight as the strong-willed matchmaker Dolly who travels to Yonkers, N.Y. to find a match for the ornery "well-known unmarried half-a-millionaire" Horace Vandergelder. You'll leave the theater singing the songs, "Put on Your Sunday Clothes," "It Only Takes a Moment" and "Before the Parade Passes By."
