This holiday season, the beloved tale of The Wind in the Willows is brought to spectacular life on the stage at the Aux Dog Theatre Nob Hill. This colorful and witty re-creation of the classic story premiered at York Theatre Royal, UK, with original award-winning music by Christopher Madin and the wonderful characters of Mole, Mr. Toad, Badger, Weasel and Ratty portrayed by outstanding local actors in delightful take-offs on their endearing animal personas.

Mike Kenny has written an acclaimed adaptation of Kenneth Grahame's timeless much loved classic novel. Fall in love all over again with sweet Mole, dependable Ratty, wise Badger, and the forever-incorrigible Mr. Toad. Watch Toad Hall, the Wild Wood, and the peaceful Riverbank come to life before your eyes. Musical numbers, epic swordfights, and underground tunnels await and add to the magical adventure.

Composer Christopher Madin's delightful score will accompany the ever-popular story of Ratty, Mole, Badger and Mr Toad that involves boating on the river, adventuring in the Wild Woods, battling weasels at Toad Hall and a few mishaps with new-fangled motor cars.

Plot revealed below!
It's springtime and curious Mole, bored with housework, leaves his molehill to explore. At the riverbank he meets Ratty, a laid-back water rat. The two quickly become firm friends and Ratty introduces Mole to the exuberant Toad, a creature with a penchant for extravagant hobbies. When Toad becomes obsessed with motor cars, his increasingly wild driving causes concern for Ratty and Mole, and they enlist the help of wise Badger. Together they reprimand Toad, locking him in his bedroom at Toad Hall. Toad escapes, but his theft of a car lands him in court and he's sent to gaol (jail).
Toad is in luck, though, when the gaoler's daughter takes pity on him and helps him to escape. He evades the police in a thrilling railway chase and then stumbles upon a barge woman who lets him hitch a ride. Toad rejoins Ratty and Mole and is horrified to discover Toad Hall has been overrun by stoats and weasels. Back at Badger's house, the four friends hatch a plan to regain control of the Hall. A terrific battle ensues and, with the help of Mole's new found courage, the foursome triumph.
