The Enchanted Rose Theatre Presents One-Man Show Starring Vernon Poitras as Walt Disney

The Enchanted Rose Theatre is proud to present an original one-man show starring Vernon Poitras.

WISH UPON A STAR... unauthorized intimate reflections by Walt Disney is written by Andy Mayo and directed by James Cady.

The production, nearly three years in the making, is the brain child of Poitras and has been carefully crafted by Mayo and Cady. It is a unique look at Walt Disney the man. What made him tick, his hopes and dreams, successes and failures, the motivations behind his creative genius and a peek behind the curtain of his personal life. It is based on the narratives of several biographies and the words of Walt Disney himself. Poitras says, "The idea is to present a real and honest look, warts and all, at this true creative genius who forever changed the world of family entertainment, and in spite of many deep and challenging struggles reminded us that the happiest place on earth is in our hearts and imaginations."

The show opens Friday, December 2nd for TWO weekends only and will be presented at The Cell Theatre, 700 1st St. NW in Albuquerque. Performances are December 2, 3, 9 & 10 at 7:30pm, and December 4 & 11 at 2pm. Tickets are available at LiveAtTheCell.com, or (505) 766-9412. General $20, Seniors (66+) $17.
