Duke City Repertory Theatre Presents TOO MUCH LIGHT MAKES THE BABY GO BLIND

Since 1988, The Neo-Futurists of Chicago have performed Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind (30 Plays in 60 Minutes) every week for 50 weeks out of the year. Subsequent Neo-Futurists groups opened in 2004 (New York) and 2013 (San Francisco), delivering the work Greg Allen spearheaded thirty years ago to new communities across the country. Now Duke City Repertory Theatre is bringing the first professional production of this unique theatrical experience to Albuquerque.

Since its founding in 2009, Duke City Repertory Theatre has developed a reputation as a top-notch, professional theatre in Albuquerque. Committed to and known for creating a diverse environment for theatre artists to be paid for their work and bold theatrical productions that expand and enhance audiences perceptions of live theatre, Duke City Rep is delighted to introduce Albuquerque audiences to Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind (30 Plays in 60 Minutes) by Greg Allen. DCRT has been named Best Theatre Company in Albuquerque by the readers of "Albuquerque the Magazine" every year since 2011.

An evening at the theatre unlike any other, audiences of Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind (30 Plays in 60 Minutes) will be treated to a kinetic and unconventional series of stories, touching on the universality of human experience. At times interactive and always thought-provoking, no two performances will be the same.

Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind (30 Plays in 60 Minutes) is supported by The Scott Family Foundation, Payday HCM, as well as our 9th Season supporters, New Mexico Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
