Broadway's Cristin Milioti Signs On For FX's FARGO
According to Deadline, Broadway vet Cristin Milioti has signed on for FX's FARGO miniseries.
The HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER actress will appear alongside Patrick Wilson and Ted Danson in the second part of the series, based on the 1996 Coen Brothers film.
The new chapter of FARGO is "set in 1979 in Sioux Falls, SD and Luverne, MN, where a young State Police Officer Lou Solverson (Wilson), recently back from Vietnam, will tackle an all new 'true crime' case."
Milioti is set for a recurring role as 'Betsy', described as "Lou's (Wilson) wife and the daughter of Rock County Sheriff Hank Larsson (Danson). A woman of the plains -- pretty but firm -- she can both jump start a car and make a casserole, clean a gun as well as the gutters."
Milioti last appeared on the big screen in THE OCCUPANTS, THE WOLF OF WALL STREET and SLEEPWALK WITH ME. Among her TV credits are A TO Z, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, 30 ROCK, THE GOOD WIFE and THE SOPRANOS. She also starred on Broadway in ONCE, for which she was nominated for a Tony Award, as well as CORAM BOY and THE LIEUTENANT OF INISHMORE.
