Sheffield Crucible Lyceum Theatre welcomes thought-provoking, funny and thrilling performances to the Studio this June - everything from poetry and romance deconstruction to a Tour de France restaging.

Eggs Collective present LATE NIGHT LOVE on Wednesday 1 June, a tender and ridiculous show that clambers up your drainpipe with a rose between its teeth. Inspired by the confessional radio show of the same name, Late Night Love is an unflinching attempt to unpick the truth from the fiction of chocolate boxes and untangle expectations of adulthood from the promise of power ballads.

The power of poetry is celebrated in Heathcote Williams's radical performance piece POETRY CAN F*CK OFF on Thursday 2 June. Roy Hutchins is joined by Sameena Zehra, Johnny Fluffypunk and Selina Nwulu, plus special guests, in a 55-minute mind-bending maelstrom, referencing over 80 courageous, creative voices who over the years have charted the great resistance movements from the Peasant's Revolt to Occupy Wall Street. With live music by Dr Blue.

VENTOUX (Friday 3-Saturday 4 June) is the most fearsome mountain on the Tour de France. It is also the story of Lance Armstrong and Marco Pantani - whose drug-fuelled race there in 2000 was the greatest cycling had ever seen. Join 2Magpies as they restage the race using breathtaking video accompaniment and a pair of road bikes, asking the question - how far will we go to succeed?

In an intimate and funny exploration of female relationships, two male actors explore the fascinating dynamic of a thirtysomething daughter and her aging mother GODS ARE FALLEN AND ALL SAFETY GONE on Thursday 7 June. Discover what happens when we realise that our parents are flawed human beings and that at some point, they are suddenly going to disappear from our lives.

Tickets for all shows can be purchased by calling the Box Office on 0114 249 6000 or by visiting sheffieldtheatres.co.uk
