Artistic Director Josie Rourke's revival of Bernard Shaw's Saint Joan, starring Gemma Arterton as Joan of Arc, will be broadcast live in cinemas around the world, directly from the Donmar Warehouse on Thursday 16 February 2017.

This will be the 4th Donmar production to be screened in cinemas in partnership with NT Live, and follows the acclaimed productions of Christopher Hampton's Les Liaisons Dangereueses and Coriolanus starring Tom Hiddleston, both directed by Rourke.

Joan: daughter, farm girl, visionary, patriot, king-whisperer, soldier, leader, victor, icon, radical, witch, heretic, saint, martyr, woman.

Bernard Shaw's classic play follows the life and trial of a young country girl who declares a bloody mission to drive the English from France. As one of the first Protestants and nationalists, she threatens the very fabric of the feudal society and the Catholic Church across Europe.
