I am on my way back to the UK and happily writing this blog from the plane! Somehow, I'm always travelling to the UK on an overnight flight, right after finishing another gig. This means that I am over-excited, over-tired and yet, not sleeping. How on earth I am going to stay awake during my five-hour layover in Dublin? As tempting as it is to spend it drinking pints of Guinness, I do need to take care of my voice. After all, I am headed to Aberdeen for my run through and first performance of 'Tonight From The West End' with Kerry Ellis and Adam Garcia.

That's right. You read correctly. THAT Kerry and THAT Adam. They are West End royalty and I get to share the stage with them at three of the loveliest venues in Scotland! So, I'd better quiet the star-struck theatre geek inside me and get some rest, huh?

We will be playing three cities in three days - Aberdeen, Dundee and Edinburgh. I've never been to the first two cities and although there won't be much time to explore, I'm determined to hit a few local 'hot spots' and take way too many photos. I've decided to spend a few days in Edinburgh after the last concert, as I didn't really get to see much of it during the Fringe Festival last summer when I was performing. Yes, I was busy but I also got the 'Fringe Flu' so I was completely held up in bed for a week (not cute). So, as if performing with Kerry, Adam, Soul Nation, 20 musicians and a crew of fabulous dancers in front of enthusiastic audiences wasn't reward enough, I have a date with Edinburgh Castle and Greyfriars Bobby afterward!

After Edinburgh, I'll be headed to London where I'll be doing seven performances of my solo show Party Of One. In the show, I use music, comedy and impressions to retrace the steps that led me to become a multi-voiced party of one! I did a 'test run' of the show back when I was working on the West End in Forbidden Broadway last year and it went very well and I wanted to come back for a full run! Seven shows is daunting but if you know me, you know that I like a challenge!

Also, when I was in London for four months straight last year I thought I would have time to do all the sightseeing on my list. Of course, this was not the case so I'm eager to get back into the streets this spring with my map, camera and annoying touristy enthusiasm to cover all the ground I missed. (Still haven't spotted the elusive Cumberbatch, but I'm optimistic that this time I'll prevail!)

Alright. Time to review my music, harmonies and script. "Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the handsome triple threat we all had fantasies about after seeing 'Coyote Ugly,' Adam Gar..." Wait - that can't be my line...

I've got some serious work to do. Until I blog again, this is Christina signing off!
