Abingdon Theatre Company's gala will be held on October 16th at 6:30 pm at The Players Club on Gramercy Park South.

Cocktails and dinner will be followed by a reading of All About Eve featuring a star-studded cast headed by Charles Busch (Tale of the Allergist's Wife, Psycho Beach Party) as Margo Channing and Martha Plimpton (Hurlyburly, upcoming Coast of Utopia) as Eve Harrington.

The benefit presentation will celebrate Abingdon Theatre Company's 14 years of developing and producing new American theatre.

The reading will also feature Marc Kudisch of Broadway's Thoroughly Modern Millie, Assassins, and most recently Hartford Stage's Summer and Smoke, as Bill Sampson; Lucie Arnaz, direct from Broadway's Dirty Rotten Scoundrels as Karen Richards; Broadway veteran Laurence Luckinbill as Lloyd Richards, Obie-winner Carole Monferdini as Birdie Coonan, and a special appearance by New York Post columnist Michael Riedel as Addison DeWitt.  The reading also features Guy Strobel  on the piano and is directed by Carl Andress.

The Gala, which will honor Judy and Steven Gluckstern, will also feature a silent auction and a raffle with opportunities for cameo appearances in the upcoming Abingdon season, a weeklong stay at a guesthouse in Scotland, Yankees and Rangers tickets, and other prizes.
