Joe Saul, a veteran circus performer is slowly being destroyed by the realization that he will die without having fathered a child. In an act of extraordinary sacrifice and compassion, his wife, Mordeen, takes desperate measures to save him. John Steinbeck's classic play is brilliantly acted by a fantastic cast, lead by four-time Emmy-winner Colleen Dewhurst (Murphy Brown) and Tony-winner Myron McCormick (South Pacific).
