On Saturday, February 4, Sandglass Theater, Crabgrass Puppet Theatre and Puppetwork New England present the next in the Winter Sunshine Series of family performances at Sandglass Theater: "Little Red Riding Hood" by Wonderspark Puppets of Brooklyn, New York. Husband-and-wife team Lindsey "Z" Briggs and Chad Williams have been seen at Puppets in Paradise 2009 and 2011, performing their funny and whimsical "Jack and the Beanstalk" and "Dueling Chefs."

Little Red is sent into the big woods to deliver a basket of goodies to her sick Grandmother, but is hounded by a hungry wolf who wants the basket for himself.  Will Little Red be able to outsmart the wolf and save her Grandmother?

This 45-minute puppet show blends tabletop puppetry with cartoony, hilarious characters to tell the classic tale of Brains VS Brawn.  The Wolf's single-minded desire to eat Little Red's basket of goodies lands him in hot water as the crafty little girl outwits him every time - with the audience's help.  Interaction between the children and the characters onstage happens throughout the story, which is suitable for all ages.  Little Red Riding Hood premiered at the 2010 Orlando Puppet Festival, and has since played at Puppet Showplace Theatre in Boston, and the Theatre for the New City as part of the 2011 Voice 4 Vision Festival.

Performances are at 2 & 4 pm and tickets are $8. For more information or to make reservations, please call the Sandglass box office at 802-387-4051.
