Saint Michael's Playhouse to Stage SHOUT! THE MOD MUSICAL, 7/31-8/10

"Shout! The Mod Musical" appears at the Saint Michael's Playhouse July 31 to August 10. The show will be staged, evenings at 8 p.m. July 31 - August 3, 6-10; and matinees at 2 p.m. August 3 and 10.

Shout! The Mod Musical showcases the fabulous sounds that made England swing in the 60s, and chronicles the dawn of a new era, complete with fashions and dances, music and hair. The show presents an irresistible blend of captivating songs, eye-popping dress and psychedelic dances" that make you want to stand up and Shout!"

"Every year we like to end our season with a crowd-pleasing smash hit, and this year is no exception," said Chuck Tobin, producing artistic director of The Playhouse. "Shout! The Mod Musical features music that topped the charts from 1960 to 1970. The music of Petula Clark, Dusty Springfield, Cela Black and other British '60s pop stars will have you dancing in your seat and singing along," Tobin said. "This show brings back the sounds that made England swing in the '60's with eye-popping fashions and of course those over-the-top hairdos."

Beth Kuhn (Yellow Girl) is so thrilled to be working at Saint Michael's Playhouse for the first time! CHARLOTTE MUNSON (Blue Girl) is thrilled to be back at Saint Michael's Playhouse! SMP credits include Rapunzel in Into the Woods and Edith in The Pirates of Penzance. She was most recently seen Off-Broadway as a finalist in NYMF's Next Broadway Sensation at New World Stages. She directed and wrote Calendar Girls produced in NYC at the Drama Bookshop. Charlotte has won the Boston Lotta Award, Lyric Theatre Award, and the New Horizon's Playwright's Award in LA for her play Look at Me. NYC: Wendy inPrinces, Cinderella in Disenchanted, and Sydney in The Hedge Fund directed by Tony Spinosa. Regional: Pennywise in Urinetown with Bigfork Playhouse, Juliet in Romeo and Juliet with NE Shakespeare Ensemble, and Jane in Quilters with VTC.

STEFANIE O'CONNELL (Red Girl) A graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts (CAP21), Stefanie's past credits include the tours of Cinderella starring Lea Salonga (u/s Cinderella), Oklahoma! (u/s Ado Annie), and Fancy Nancy (Nancy). Other credits include How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Phyllis Who) at Madison Square Garden in New York City, West Side Story (Maria), and Celebration (Angel). Stefanie is also training for the NYC Marathon this fall!

CHELSEY WHITELOCK (Orange Girl) is SHOUTing with excitement to be making her Saint Michael's debut! She was just recently seen as Betty in The Great American Trailer Park Musical at the Merry Go Round Playhouse. She has been seen on the stages of Carnegie Hall, the Gateway Playhouse, Fulton Opera House, Fullerton CLO, and on the North American Tour of Annie to name a few.
