Internationally renowned theatre company WildWorks return to their roots with their first show in Cornwall for over ten years.

Wolf's Child, originally created for the Norfolk & Norwich Festival in 2015, has been reimagined for its new setting at Trelowarren, a beautiful old family estate near The Lizard in Cornwall.

The show, which received rave reviews nationally, is a promenade production, following the action though the woods and grounds at Trelowarren, including areas that are not usually open to the public.

Wolf's Child, a fairytale for adults and brave children (aged 11+), tells the tale of 'Mother' who protects her girls from the dangers of the wild. When a wolf attack leaves her injured she sends her most trusted girl into the woods in her place. Here the girl discovers darkness, love, terror and freedom.

WildWorks, famed for telling beautiful and moving stories in unusual ways, are proud to be bringing this story home and honouring the vision of the company's founder, Artistic Director Bill Mitchell who died on Good Friday 2017. "I love simple magic in real places and TreloWarren Gives us the perfect surroundings to tell this beautiful and moving tale. It's a story close to our hearts - one that explores the very essence of being human." Bill Mitchell, March 2017

Emma Hogg, General Manager at WildWorks said "Bill was the inspiration behind WildWorks,. Under his guidance he shaped a team of likeminded people set on creating landscape theatre, working with communities, their stories and their environments. He was adamant that the work should continue, and it will. Bill had been heavily involved in the current slate of projects including this July's production of Wolf's Child which he had reimagined for Trelowarren."

Before his death, Bill Mitchell requested that Kyla Goodey be handed the baton of Show Director for Wolf's Child. Kyla, who performed in the original production of Wolf's Child in 2015 is actor, director and writer based in Cornwall. Her acting roles include 946 Adolphus Tips, Tregeagle and Don Quixote for Kneehigh and her director/producer credits include A Great Night Out and The Yule Tide Arc-Ive for WildWorks.

Tickets for the production, which runs from Tuesday 11th to Sunday 30th July are available via Hall for Cornwall www.hallforcornwall.co.uk.
