Seventeen year old Ellie has finally come home to face the music. Can her family, or even her friends, get over her betrayal? Who is in control of her future? Multiple award-winner Nimer Rashed's powerful debut play is a darkly comic and startling exploration of family, folly and forgiveness.

Nimer Rashed started his career working for Miramax Films in London, Cannes and New York, Nimer then spent two years working as a teacher in rural Japan. He has now won several awards for his writing, including Soho Theatre's Westminster Prize, the decibel Penguin Prize, and the Sir Peter Ustinov Television Scriptwriting Award at the International Emmy Awards in New York. His debut short film Baghdad Express, commissioned by the UK Film Council, premiered at the London Film Festival in 2008, and has gone on to screen at festivals worldwide. Wild Horses is his first play.

Nadia Latif trained as a director at RADA, under William Gaskill. She has been Artistic Director of Tabula Rasa Theatre, specialising in new and international writing, since 2003. Directing credits include: but i cd only whisper (Lincoln Center Theater, New York), The Ballad of Crazy Paola (Arcola), Hand Me Down (Projects, Almeida), In The Heart Of America (RADA), The Daughter In Law (RADA), The Importance of Being Turbann'd (Edinburgh Fringe Festival), Othello (KICS Theatre, Khartoum).

Nimer is an inaugural member of the 503Five, a group of, hitherto, unproduced playwrights, selected from two hundred of the country's most exciting new voices. As recipients of Theatre503's first ever commissioning awards, they will be resident with the company for a year in a unique programme that gives playwrights both artistic opportunities and enables them to be part of the decision-making process of Theatre503.
