Teatro Vivo in association with the Albany present The Hunters Grimm. The production begins at Deptford Lounge, located at 9 Giffin St, Deptford, SE8 4RJ Ends at the Albany, Douglas Way, Deptford, London SE8 4AG, Wednesday 22nd October - Saturday 8th November 2014, 7.30pm.

The famous Brothers Grimm need your help. They need stories, more stories than they can gather themselves. You must search the dark streets of Deptford for new tales, where you may come across an anarchic frog convinced he is a prince, give beauty advice to an ageing step- mother, engage in a foot amputation, dance with the musicians of Bremen and participate in an adventure to cure nightmares. Along the way you'll hear familiar and strange stories of love, death, poverty, longing and sausages.

The Hunters Grimm will be a theatrical journey for grown-ups inspired by the Household Tales of the Brothers Grimm and is for the brave and curious only!

In their ninth year, Teatro Vivo transform much loved stories into theatrical adventures, collaborating with communities and audiences to turn everyday environments into magical worlds. For fearless, spontaneous and responsive theatre, Teatro Vivo are like no other theatre company with their signature brand of "theatre where you least expect it".

By working with a community chorus, they embed themselves in the localities in which they perform, as well as offering those involved professional training and performance opportunities. It is this commitment to local audiences and people that has seen them create Shakespeare in supermarkets, search for Odysseus in the streets and shops of Deptford and take audiences from all around the country down a rabbit hole to Wonderland.

Please note that this is a promenade performance - all hunters are requested to wear a stout pair of boots and clothes suited to the climate for who knows where these stories will take us...

The nearest underground stations are New Cross (on the Overground line) and Deptford Bridge (on the Docklands Light Railway). The nearest rail station is Deptford. Tickets are available from thealbany.org.uk and 020 8692 4446, priced at £12 (£10 concessions).

Teatro Vivo are based in South London and have been creating theatre since 2005. Inspired by classic stories and new writing, we make theatrical productions in any non theatre venue. Our aim is to inspire people to contemplate the nature of human engagement by creating performances that encourage a sense of play for all who experience them. We collaborate with artists from all backgrounds to open up the possibilities of what theatre can be and encourage non-professionals to participate in our process allowing us to share and learn skills and wisdom. We explore the environments that we work in to ensure our productions become an essential part of the community and a source of inspiration and entertainment for all.
