Due to popular demand the international hit exhibition will now display until April 12th. More than 1 million pieces of LEGO® create over 80 spectacular sculptures.

As Nathan Sawaya's The Art of the Brick continues to prove to be the world's favourite LEGO® exhibition, UK promotersExhibiTours are today delighted to announce that the London run of the internationally acclaimed exhibition will extend untilSunday 12th April 2015. Following record setting attendance, tickets (and gift vouchers the perfect Christmas gift for LEGO lovers) for the new booking period are on sale and can be purchased from www.artofthebrick.co.uk or 0203 773 8995.

Originally scheduled to close on Sunday 4th January 2015, US artist Nathan Sawaya's one-of-a-kind sculptures - of which over 80 are currently on display at the Old Truman Brewery, East London's revolutionary arts and media quarter - have so far captured the imagination of over 100,000 visitors of all ages.

The artworks on display are large scale sculptures many of which are human figures such as Sawaya's most famous pieceYellow. The exhibition also features a T-Rex skeleton Dinosaur constructed from over 80,000 LEGO bricks, measuring over six metres in length and a specially commissioned room of dedicated British exhibits.

In addition, visitors also have the chance to see Sawaya's recent interpretations of some of the world's most famous artworks, including Da Vinci's Mona Lisa, the Venus de Milo and Vermeer's Girl with a Pearl Earring. The exhibition includes an interactive Zone inviting younger (and older) visitors to explore their creativity using the iconic bricks.

The Art of the Brick has been proclaimed by CNN as one of the world's 10 must see exhibitions and has already attracted millions of visitors worldwide in New York, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Shanghai, Singapore. In 2015 the exhibition will also open in South Africa.

Leaving a former life as a corporate lawyer, today Sawaya has more than 4 million coloured bricks in his New York and Los Angeles art studios. His work is obsessively and painstakingly crafted and is both beautiful and playful. Sawaya's ability to transform LEGO bricks into something new, his devotion to scale and colour perfection, the way he conceptualizes the action of the subject matter, enables him to elevate an ordinary toy to the status of fine art.

US artist Nathan Sawaya says of today's extension news:

"For many years people have asked me when The Art of the Brick would be shown in London. The response to the exhibition's opening in September was overwhelming and to today announce an extension in such a fantastic city is a wonderful conclusion to a great run of the show."

UK Promoters ExhibiTours continue:

"We are thrilled that Nathan's artwork has captured the public's enthusiasm in much the same way it did ours when we first viewed it 18 months ago, and delighted to be able to extend our run at the Old Truman Brewery until the Easter break."
