August sees a variety of one-night performances at The Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury.

It's a welcome return to That'll Be The Day on Monday and Tuesday (11 and 12 August). The rock 'n' roll variety show is back with a new show, featuring a fresh line up of hits from the 1950s, 60s and 70s.

The Glenn Miller Orchestra will get audiences In The Mood on Thursday (14 August), in the 70th anniversary year of the great bandleader's visit to the UK.

On Friday 29 August, it's the turn of Sing-A-Long-A Grease, a fully interactive screening of the film Grease, featuring all the classic hits (The One that You Want, Summer Nights, and Greased Lightin').

Celebrate a great British tradition with the Kent Concert Orchestra at Gala Night At The Proms, on Saturday 30 August. Playing all the "last night" favourites (Land Of Hope And Glory, Jerusalem, and Henry Wood's Sea Songs), the orchestra is conducted by John Perkins and joined by soprano Kathryn Jenkin.

All shows start at 7.30pm. For ticket prices and to book, call the Box Office on 01227 787787, or go to marlowtheatre.com.
