Nicole Zweiback's award-winning new play, Bit of Sunshine, is set to open for a six-performances-only run at this year's Edinburgh Fringe on Monday, and in the run up to it Bloody Deeds Productions and KILTER have released a trailer for the play.

The play centres on Kira. Kira is the perfect teenager. Kira wants to go to Oxford. But her eating disorder shatters everything in her path. In this poignant, raw and honest new play a young girl explores what it's like growing up with mental illness and the lifelong struggle of addiction. A dark comedy about coming of age in a world obsessed with the struggle for perfection.

Bit of Sunshine won Best Play at the LOST Theatre One Act Festival 2016, and Paul Vale (critic for The Stage) called it "Fascinating...an accomplished piece of theatre. A thrilling combination of writing and performance."
Written and performed by Nicole Zweiback, and co-directed by KILTER's co-founders Ed Theakston and Katie Coull, the play runs at theSpace on the Mile from the 22nd to 27th August at 18.05.
