From one of the country's most exciting upcoming writers, Timmy Creed, comes Spliced. Hard-hitting, honest and brave, this piece shines a light on the fragility of the sportsman behind the mask.

'I am a GAA man. As team players, our individuality is silent. We conform to the ideas, beliefs and motivations of the team. We suppress our emotions to strengthen our exterior. We must challenge the idea of ourselves. Who am I? What is important to me? What is within me?'

Spliced is a multi-disciplinary collaboration, between Timmy Creed (actor and writer), David Mathúna (visiual artist) and Chris Somers (composer). It premieres at TheSmock Alley's 'Scene + Heard' Festival, on February 14th and 15th, at 9:30pm. Tickets available from the Smock Alley box office, telephone 01 6770014, or online from www.smockalley.com
