Oxford based dub reggae band ZAIA are set to headline the Uncommon stage at the Common People festival on May 27th, 2017. The festival set will come the day after the band release their debut album - Butterflies - at a headline show at Oxford's famous live venue The Bullingdon.

Since forming in late 2013, ZAIA have been a regular feature of the UK music scene, having shared a stage with prominent reggae acts Lee 'Scratch' Perry, Macka B and Gentleman's Dub Club. Influenced by the likes of Chronixx and Protoje, but with a soul, folk and rock twist, their sound has been described as "phenomenally slick" by Nightshift Magazine and consisting of "deep, danceable, dubwise grooves" by Count Skylarkin. Their songs Dark Days and Fire in My Heart have also been featured on David Rodigan's BBC 1Xtra show.

The Common People festival was launched in Oxford in 2016, by the team behind Bestival following a successful event in Southampton a year earlier. This year's event in Oxford's South Park will feature performances from Sean Paul, Rag'N'Bone Man and The Selector among others. ZAIA will be taking the stage from 10pm.
