Sheffield Theatres will welcome Moscow City Ballet back to the stage this January for the spectacular touring production of The Nutcracker. Arriving at the Lyceum Theatre from Tuesday 7 - Saturday 11 January, this festive treat will entertain family members of all ages.

With stunning costumes and sumptuous sets, the world-renowned Moscow City Ballet will tell the story of Clara, who is swept away to a spectacular winter wonderland by the Nutcracker prince. With a full orchestra playing Tchaikovsky's enchanting score and featuring unforgettable dances such as Sugar Plum Fairy, this is the perfect production to banish those January blues.

Moscow City Ballet's Artistic Director, Victor Smirnov-Golovanov said, 'In these difficult economic times I'm amazed by the support and appreciation the UK audience give to Moscow City Ballet. I truly believe that dance is escapism and I'm delighted that people find enjoyment and pleasure in watching our gifted dancers perform our Russian jewels.'

The Nutcracker comes to the Lyceum Theatre from Tuesday 7 - Saturday 11 January. Tickets can be purchased from Sheffield Theatres' Box Office in-person, by phone on 0114 249 6000 or online at sheffieldtheatres.co.uk and are priced from £19.00 - £35.00 (a transaction fee of £1.50 (£1.00 online) applies to all bookings made at the Box Office, excluding cash), with concessions and group discounts available.
