Sophie Raworth (BBC News) presented Chris Macdonald with the Lifetime Achievement Award at The Guildhall yesterday evening. This year marks the 25th anniversary of Brooks Macdonald, the company set up by Mr Macdonald.

Joel Hills, Business Editor for ITV News won the Award for Best Industry Commentator and Ian King, Business Presenter at Sky News and Business Editor, The Times collected the Award for Financial Journalist of the Year.

JM Finn won the Award for Best Discretionary Service and St James's Place Wealth Management collected the Award for Wealth Management Company of the Year.

The City of London Wealth Management Awards are unique in that winners are determined by an online public vote. This number votes cast has increased significantly since the Awards were introduced 10 years ago.

Stephen Pinner, MD of Goodacre UK the company managing the Awards said

The fact that winners are determined by individual votes is a huge endorsement for all winners. The purpose of the City of London Wealth Management Awards is to recognise and promote quality of service from Wealth Management companies and individuals.

Winners are determined by a public online vote which took place over a two week period in March 2016. The poll was reviewed by an independent panel of judges.

The City of London Wealth Management Awards are supported by leading service and system suppliers to the regulated financial services sector, namely IRESS, FactSet, Clearstream Banking, Equiniti, Allfunds Bank, JHC Systems, Platform Securities, Wealth Dynamix, and SIX Financial Information.
