Musical comedians Jonny and the Baptists bring their riotously funny story of friendship, inequality and betrayal to The Point on Saturday 20th May.

Eat the Poor takes a good, hard look at a country where three-quarters of MPs are millionaires, yet a third of the population live below the poverty line. Whatever your politics, Jonny and the Baptists think it's worth talking about.

When frontman Jonny Donahoe, co-writer of international hit play Every Brilliant Thing, betrays best friend Paddy, their lives turn upside down as Jonny lives the high life while Paddy sinks into despair and homelessness.

Exploring the expanding gap between the rich and the poor, the duo has already won high praise from critics for this 'wickedly amusing' and 'uproarious satire' with 'the political edge of 80's alternative comedy and a pop-soul voice to win X Factor'.

Tickets are £12, with £10 concessions; a selection of local ales will be available from the bar at this event. To book yours visit www.thepointeastleigh.co.uk or phone the Box Office on 023 8065 2333.
