Jonathan Ross Hosts an Evening With Global Movie Legend Arnold Schwarzenegger Tonight

Arnold Schwarzenegger is to follow into the footsteps of Sylvester Stallone, Al Pacino and John Travolta by getting up close and personal with British fans tonight, November 15.

An Evening with Arnold Schwarzenegger promises to be another unmissable event, a unique opportunity to hear first-hand from Arnold himself about his amazing career and private insights from his life. It will be an on stage interview followed by a Q & A session with the chance for fans to chat with their idol. The audience will also get the chance to purchase tickets for a one to one photo opportunity and a very select and private meet and greet session.

An Evening with Arnold Schwarzenegger, hosted by award-winning TV chat show host, Jonathan Ross, will be held at the Lancaster London Hotel on Saturday 15 November. A day earlier he will take part in a black tie dinner event at The Grand Pavillion, Leeds.

Born in Thal, Austria in 1947, he was soon dominating the sport of competitive bodybuilding, becoming the youngest person ever to win the Mr. Universe title at just 20. He emigrated to America and went on to win five Mr. Universe titles and seven Mr. Olympia titles before retiring to dedicate himself to acting.

Arnold soon made a name for himself in Hollywood. In 1977, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association recognised him with a Golden Globe for New Male Star of the Year for his role in Stay Hungry opposite Sally Field. His big break came in 1982 when the sword and sorcery epic, Conan the Barbarian, hit box office gold. In 1984, he blew up the screen and catapulted himself into cinema history as the title character in Jim Cameron's sci-fi thriller, Terminator.

He is the only actor to be in both categories of the American Film Institute's "Hundred Years of Heroes and Villains" for roles he played in the Terminator series. Starring in over 50 explosive movies, other memorable characters include roles in Commando, Predator, Twins, Total Recall, True Lies, Eraser, Collateral Damage, Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines and The Expendables series. To date, his films have grossed over $3 billion worldwide.

He served the people of California as the state's 38th Governor from 2003 to 2010. First elected in California's historic recall election, Governor Schwarzenegger ushered in an era of innovative leadership and extraordinary public service.

He also dedicated himself to promoting physical education and after-school programmes, and continues to commit his time, energy and personal finances to charitable organisations around the world. Schwarzenegger recently released his autobiography, Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story.

Jonathan Ross OBE is a stalwart of British TV. His chat show returns to ITV on Saturday nights in mid October. From 2001 to 2011 he was the host of the BBC1 flagship film show, and presented over 200 episodes of his iconic BBC1 chat show, Friday Night With Jonathan Ross, which won five BAFTA Awards. His BBC Radio Saturday morning Jonathan Ross Show won four Sony Awards and ran from 1999 until 2010. He has hosted the Film BAFTAS several times,and currently hosts the British Comedy Awards on Channel 4. He also writes comic books and has too many dogs.
