The award-winning SUICIDE LETTER LOVE NOTE is a fresh, funny and irreverent look at the joys and agonies of first love, lost love, sex and comic books. It is the first play by comedian David Head (Chortle Student Comedian of the Year Semi Finalist 2010 and So You Think You’re Funny Semi Finalist 2010). The production will play from April 24th-May 5th.

Jack Buchanan is going to kill himself in one week. Maybe two. Certainly not three... that would just be silly. But before he does, he is going to try and win back the lost love of his youth and see if he can find a reason to live. He’s also planning to read Ulysses.

This is HeadShotInstantKill Productions’ debut show. The aims of this exciting new company are twofold: to provide a platform for young writers who wish to retain creative control of their work by directing it themselves, and to provide an outlet for writers from a stand-up and comedy background.

Writer/Director David Head has performed stand-up alongside the likes of WitTank, Chris Ramsey, Carl Donnelly, Nathon Caton, Carly Smallman and Matt Richardson. He has been well received critically and in competitions, making it to the semi-finals of Chortle Student Comedian of the Year and So You Think You’re Funny in 2010. Whilst at University he was a part of the renowned Durham Revue, who garnered rave reviews whilst performing alongside the Cambridge Footlights and the Oxford Revue, and at the Edinburgh Fringe. SUICIDE LETTER LOVE NOTE is his first piece of writing and his first time directing.
