The Belgrade Theatre is offering up a feast of activities to keep families entertained during the Easter holidays, including the dahl-icious stage production of Fantastic Mr Fox, Easter Bunny's Eggs-ellent Adventure and free cinema screenings.

Taking to the Main Stage from Tues 18 to Sat 22 Apr is Roald Dahl's wondercrump of a show, Fantastic Mr Fox! A tale of greed, pride and the power of friendship, this flagship production for the Roald Dahl 100 celebrations promises a huge theatrical feast with live music and songs, ideal for the whole family.

Boggis, Bunce and Bean, three greedy, smelly horrid farmers hate the cunning Mr Fox. Mr Fox is smart, clever and rather fantastic, but he doesn't realise how determined The Farmers are to get revenge. Can he hatch a plan to save his family and friends? Can they outrun the diggers and outsmart The Farmers? And can Rabbit shut up long enough not to give the same away?

The book has been adapted for the stage by award-winning writer Sam Holcroft, who has previously been a writer in residence at the National Theatre Studio and Traverse Theatre, with original musical compositions by Arthur Darvill. It has been designed by Tom Scutt and directed by Maria Aberg, who directing credits include productions for the Royal Shakespeare Company, National Theatre and Royal Court.

Aberg said, "Sam Holcroft's adaptation is incredibly funny and fast - a really witty take on the original with a few new twists and turns. So, while the familiar story from the book remains intact, there are definitely a few surprises in terms of what happens to the Fox family and who joins them on their journey."

She added, "Sam has done a brilliant job in bringing the world of the book to life in a way that feels very vivid and contemporary, with lots of warmth and humour. She's made sure you'll definitely recognise all your favourite characters, but she's also re-invented them for a new audience, which feels very fresh and exciting."

In addition to seeing your favourite fox on stage this Easter, you can also join the Easter Bunny for some sing-a-long family fun on Weds 19 Apr. Easter Bunny's Eggs-ellent Adventure is brought to the stage by the same team behind Marty MacDonald's Farm and Santa's Christmas Cracker.

The show invites families to join the hunt for the hidden chocolate factory and offers audiences the opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny afterwards to receive a special Easter present! You will also get to join in children's nursery rhyme favourites including Head, Shoulders, Knees And Toes, Wheels On The Bus, The Hokey Cokey, One Finger, One Thumb and If You're Happy And You Know It.

Easter Bunny's Eggs-ellent Adventure is aimed at ages 2 - 7 and lasts for 40 minutes, making it an ideal introduction to theatre for little ones.

Families looking for activities to keep kids occupied can also visit the Burbidge Room at the Belgrade for free cinema screenings on Sat 15 and Sat 22 April from 11.30am to 12.30pm. These family friendly animated films will keep the kids entertained while you relax.

Tickets for the shows listed above are available now and can be booked by calling the Belgrade Box Office tam on 024 7655 3055 or online at www.belgrade.co.uk.
