Digital Media Services Partners with AKA and Creative Partnership
Digital business solutions agency Digital Media Services (DMS) has united with AKA and The Creative Partnership (CP) to offer a unique proposition to companies within the theatre, arts, dance, opera and cultural industries.
The new partnership, effective immediately, recognises the on-going digital convergence of media and the importance of its successful and effective delivery to businesses and consumers. The collaboration between AKA, DMS and CP also responds to the need for a cost-effective service provision that incorporates media creation, promotion, delivery, distribution and evaluation. The three companies will continue to trade under their existing names and brand identities with all key management roles retained.
DMS is a pioneering international company that employs the latest digital technologies to provide smart and cost-effective multi-media business solutions across a range of industry sectors. Its expertise covers media monitoring (Hawk) and digital video services (Panther and Lynx), as well as unique, bespoke delivery platforms for broadcast and digital content distribution (Panther Online).
Through this new agreement, all existing and new clients across the group will enjoy a far more comprehensive breadth of resource, expertise and complimentary services. This collective move by all three companies will also further strengthen the delivery of research and analysis across practices; ensuring that all work is grounded in insight and fully accountable. In addition, the full range of all proprietary digital products offered by DMS will become immediately available to all of CP and AKA clients.
Founded in 1995 by Adam Kenwright, the AKA Group is a collective of international companies servicing the film, live entertainment, arts and cultural industries. It is still the only management-owned full-service agency within the sector. AKA's Board Shareholders includes Kate Turnbull, Managing Director of AKA UK, who has overseen the development of the company since 1997, and serial entrepreneur Luke Johnson, Founder of the Centre for Entrepreneurs and Chairman of Risk Capital Partners.
Adam Kenwright, Founder of AKA said: "For more than a decade, DMS has been the market leader in creating outstanding digital media, video content and providing bespoke distribution for the UK film and television industry. Now, through our new partnership, AKA and CP are able to unlock this technology and resource, passing on the benefits to theatre companies, producers and venues in the West End and across the UK. We're always on the lookout for new and innovative ways to celebrate and promote the best stage productions in the world, and this new venture working with Bob, Amy and all of the talented DMS team will help us achieve that goal. Together, we're excited to uncover hugely valuable marketing initiatives and new revenue opportunities for our arts clients to, ultimately, increase attendances across Theatreland."
Amy Le Coz, Founder and Director of DMS added: "We are delighted to join the AKA family. The past ten years have been tremendously exciting for DMS and we believe joining forces with AKA will help take our business to the next level in the UK and internationally. In addition, this partnership with AKA and CP will enable DMS to deepen our range of clients and services in the arts, culture and live entertainment sectors - a truly thrilling and mutually beneficial development."
Mia Matson, Founder and Creative Director of CP added: "This is amazing news for all our team at The Creative Partnership. Over the last 20 plus years I have worked with, and continue to be supported by, the most incredible group of artists and talent. Now, with all of the successful team at AKA and DMS alongside us, I am really looking forward to delivering more exceptional work to our loyal clients."
