Cast

Natali Caro

Taz
Natali Caro (she/they) is an actor, comedian, DJ, drag king, performer, writer and producer. Just last year she was shortlisted for the ATYP Rebel Wilson Comedy Commission and nominated Best Artist in the FBi SMAC Awards. She also starred in the original drag cabaret musical; All The King’s Hens, which sold out in Sydney and Melbourne. Her debut solo comedy show, Seeking Representation (Giant Dwarf 2020 & 2021) sold out twice, receiving a standing ovation each time. She has also featured on SBS The Feed and The Chaser’s War on 2020.


Sophie Strykowski

Shontelle
Sophie graduated with a BA in Theatre and Performance from UNSW in 2018, and since graduating, she has performed with ATYP, Q Theatre and several Independent companies in Sydney. Highlights include; Natives (KXT), Dear Australia (Spark Youth Theatre), Girl Shut Your Mouth (Theatre Travels), Originate (Q Theatre), Van De Maar Papers (Ratcatch), and Hairworm (Eye Contact). Sophie is passionate about queer contemporary Australian stories and devised performance, working collaboratively in residencies with KXT, Bite Productions, and ATYP; where she created a digital performance for RoomWorks (2020).


Jack Mainsbridge

Lynda & The Townsfolk
Jack is a graduate from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in NYC where he studied in all artforms in the musical theater program. After graduating AMDA he remained in NYC for four years performing in a variety of shows including Babette’s Feast (Connelly theater), and Tad Talks with collaborator Matthew Llabres at the Pit Loft. While in the U.S he performed at the Duke Energy Center Theatre (NC) in Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer as Santa Claus, and at Busch Gardens as lead male singer. Jack is thrilled to be back in Australia performing again with such a wonderful show and cast, with a message very dear to his heart.


Lou McInnes

Mum & The Townsfolk
Lou is an actor, writer and singer. They are a 2020 graduate of Actors Centre Australia, with some of their credits while studying including Medea, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Love for Love and Spring Awakening. Previous credits include DNA with the Public Schools State Drama Company, Bassett (ATYP/ Bittersweet Productions), The Second and Third Age Project (Sport For Jove), and The Sydney University Womn’s Revue (Sydney Comedy Festival). In 2021 Lou performed in Significant Other (New Theatre), The Merchant of Venice Symposium (Sport for Jove) and performed and trained with The House That Dan Built. Their short play Get Where You’re Going was also published in ATYP’s Intersection: Unleashed.

Kasia Vickery

Director / Writer
Kasia Vickery is a multidisciplinary performer, writer, director and dramaturg who graduated with a MFA in Writing for Performance at NIDA (2019). Since graduating they have Co -created/Written Me & Her(pes) - A short comedy web series in collaboration with Gemma Bird Matheson Funded by Screen Australia for Generate Online Development 2019 -2020. They were selected as a writer in Residence for the 2020 Sydney Fringe festival, their comedy play Full Contact was performed at PLAYLIST festival as part of the 2020 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras and they were participant in the 2019 ATYP National Writer’s Studio at Bundanon Trust. Their previous credits include: The Day That Changed Potato Bay (Sydney Fringe Festival), Improvisation performance piece Heavy Lifting (Bondi Feast Festival), Live from the Grave (Sydney Comedy Festival) Sydney University Arts Revue (Seymour Centre,) Royalty Free Theatre Variety Show (107 Projects), Freudian Nip's annual Performing Arts Showcase (Yack festival at Giant Dwarf Theatre,), Wom*n’s Revue Encore (Sydney Comedy Festival), UNSW Wom*n's Revue: So Fresh (Studio One UNSW) and Sydney University Wom*n’s revue: Memories R Always (Seymour Centre).


Kate Beere

Production Design (Set & Costume)
Kate Beere is a costume and set designer working across theatre, film and events. She has a love for creating and collaborating with passionate artists and directors. Kate completed her Masters of Fine Arts (Design for Performance) at NIDA in 2020 and prior to this, completed the BFA (Design for Performance). In 2021, Kate was the set designer for the musical, Half Time at the Hayes Theatre, directed by Helen Dallimore. She went to Melbourne with the second staging of the show This Genuine Moment directed by Hayden Tonazzi at La Mama Theatre for the Midsumma Festival. She was the designer for the Old Fitz’s late show, Alibi (or Someplace Else), devised by queercore recording artist and playwright, Willing. Most recently, Kate was nominated for best costume design for independent theatre by Sydney Theatre Awards for Significant Other at the New Theatre, directed by Hayden Tonazzi.


Thomas Doyle

Lighting Designer
Tom is an emerging lighting designer working on unceded Eora and Dharawal Land. He trained at the University of Wollongong, graduating from the Bachelor of Creative Arts with distinction, and received First Class Honours in Creative Arts (Theatre). Recent projects include directing and designing ‘The Infinity Mirror’ (Shopfront Arts Co-Op, 2021), serving as stage manager and associate artist for Karen Therese’s ‘Sleeplessness’ (Carriageworks, 2021), and directing and designing 'Celine Dion Fan Club' (UOW, 2020). Tom is a proud MEAA member.

Robbi James

Producer
Robbi has been The Rogues’ producer since 2017 when he joined the company to take Gina Schien’s Morgan Stern to the 70th Edinburgh Fringe Festival. From a decade of professional performance in his youth to formal study his passion for creative production and audience engagement has fuelled a career spanning media, business development, marketing & project management. Robbi is a graduate of Western Sydney University and completed his Masters in Arts Management at the Sydney Opera House with the Australian Institute of Music. His final thesis critically investigated the measurement, systems of support for, and impact of, diversity strategies in Sydney theatre companies, a subject he remains passionate about. He is also currently the Marketing and Engagement Manager for Critical Stages Touring, Australia’s national touring theatre company, where he spearheads the company’s communications, accessibility, and digital production initiatives. Robbi is a proud member of the Bi+ community and identifies as Polyqueer. He lives, works, and creates on Gadigal Country.


Claire Ferguson

Stage Manager and Board Operator
Claire Ferguson is a Sydney based Stage Manager, Writer and Producer. She graduated from Charles Sturt University with a Bachelor of Communications (Theatre/Media) in 2017. Since then, she has worked as Stage Manager in the Sydney independent theatre scene as well as a Touring Stage Manager in the UK. Stage Management Credits include You Got Older (Mad March Hare) Whose Uterus is it Anyway? (Bite Productions) Boy Out of the Country (Company of Rogues) Girl in the Machine by Stef Smith (National Theatre of Parramatta) SLUG (Visible Fictions UK) Animal Farm (The New Theatre) The Great and Powerful Ozzie (Miranda Middleton). Videotape (Montague Basement) and the Sport for Jove Education Season.


Brendon Taylor

Production Supervisor
With extensive experience in many areas of theatre production including orchestra management, production management and stage management, Brendon is a highly versatile theatre technician. He has worked as a stage manager at the Sydney Opera House and City Recital Hall Angel Place alongside Australia’s most renowned arts organisations including The Australian Ballet, Opera Australia, Sydney Theatre Company, Australian Chamber Orchestra, and Australian Brandenburg Orchestra to name a few. Most recently, Brendon was one of the stage managers bringing Sydney Writer’s Festival to life at Carriageworks, managing the talks and events in Bay 22. This is Brendon’s second production with Rogue Projects, filling in as stage manager for one performance of You’re Not Special earlier this year. Brendon is a Graduate of University of Wollongong (BCA) and The Actor’s Centre Sydney. As an actor, he most recently performed as the Inspector in The Composer Is Dead with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra as part of their Education program.
