Celebrated conductor Charles Dutoit will make his much-anticipated return to Sydney next month to conduct the Sydney Symphony Orchestra in two magnificent programs - French Impressions: Ravel, Debussy & Berlioz and Schumann's Magical Cello.

Dutoit, who has a successful and longstanding relationship with the SSO, received rave reviews from critics on his last visit in 2013, with the Sydney Morning Herald's Peter McCallum writing "Dutoit has a rare affinity for orchestral balance and subtly recalibrated textures, allowing the Sydney Symphony's strengths to blossom with breathtaking colour, clarity and richness."
