Bachelor of Arts in Dance for Secondary Education


Do you have a passion for dance and the arts? The GCU Dance Department in the College of Arts and Media provides opportunities in many styles of dance for performance and education. Not only will students continue to expand their expertise in dance performance, the dance curriculum at GCU teaches students the history of dance, performance production and how to integrate their knowledge of dance into media and the community. Dance majors perform in faculty concerts as early as their first semester. Through concert productions and performances throughout the year, the GCU Dance Faculty lead students. Growing in their proficiency and creativity in dance and enabling their success in any career path they may choose.

As Ballet Arizona kicks off its 2019-2020 season, the only professional ballet in the Valley invites residents to spend a relaxing evening under the Arizona sky as the company continues its 22-year tradition, Ballet Under the Stars, presented by the Diane and Bruce Halle Foundation. Community performances take place September 11-14 at four Valley locations. Free and open to the public, Ballet Under the Stars allows the local community to enjoy dance in a unique outdoor setting complete with professional staging, lighting, costumes, complemented by beautiful Arizona weather.
