Shakespeare Rep has announced the creation of a Fellowship Program for young performers. The Shakespeare Rep Fellowship Program is an intensive mentoring opportunity for early career actors who demonstrate exceptional promise for a career in classical theatre.

As its first Fellowship recipient, Shakespeare Rep has selected Erin Dailey, a junior Communications student at the University of South Carolina-Beaufort. Dailey is a graduate of the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts. Following completion of high school, Dailey was admitted to the drama program at the Julliard School in New York, where she completed two years of study.

During her fellowship with Shakespeare Rep, Dailey will participate in professional training workshops in classical performance techniques. She will also play a leading role, Lady Macbeth, in the company's upcoming Spring production. In addition, Dailey will receive a cash award.

Shakespeare Rep is a professional theatre company headquartered in historic Beaufort, South Carolina. Shakespeare Rep is committed to producing high quality, accessible Shakespearean productions for the region.
