South Bend Civic Theatre hosts the 2nd offering of Firehouse Shakespeare readings today, June 21 with The Merry Wives of Windsor. Beginning at 1 PM, join Scott Jackson, Executive Director of Shakespeare at Notre Dame, in a community reading of The Merry Wives of Windsor. All attendees will have a chance to read and share in the roles. All ages are welcome. All you need to bring is a sense of fun. Snacks will be provided. This event is free but participants need to reserve their spot by calling the Box Office at 574-234-1112 or online sbct.org. SBCT's Firehouse Theatre is located at 701 N. Portage Ave. in South Bend.

A partnership between South Bend Civic Theatre and Shakespeare at Notre Dame, Firehouse Shakespeare readings allow the community to share in the enjoyment of Shakespeare's plays read aloud. The offerings this year will include readings of featured plays that are part of the Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival's 2014 season: The Merry Wives of Windsor, Henry IV, and Much Ado About Nothing.
