William Shakespeare's The Tempest will be presented by the Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival (NDSF) August 16 through August 28. Directed by Cirque du Soleil's West Hyler, The Tempest will perform at Notre Dame's DeBartolo Performing Arts Center.

According to Hyler, "The Tempest shines as one of Shakespeare's most magical and generous plays. The shipwrecked magician living on a deserted island with his daughter thrills with spectacular possibilities. We have brought together a company of professional actors and acrobats, illusionists and clowns to bring The Tempest to life in both soul and spectacle."

Full of danger, romance, comedy, original music, aerial acrobatics, and wind illusions, The Tempest floods the DeBartolo stage with faith and forgiveness, magic and mystery.

Performances play the PaTricia George Decio Theatre, DeBartolo Performing Arts Center, Notre Dame, IN 46556. Tickets range from $12-$85. For tickets visit dpactickets.nd.edu or call 574-631-2800.
