Two Gentlemen of Verona Photos - Off-Broadway

The pinnacle of EgoPo's 25th Anniversary season and its season-long John Guare Festival will be seeing Guare's Lydie Breeze Trilogy in one of two marathon formats. EgoPo is collaborating with Guare to present all three plays, now titled Cold Harbor, Aipotu, and Madaket Road in a consecutive cycle, with music by Jay Ansill and Cynthia Hopkins. This epic piece of theater about an American family, set between the Civil War and the birth of the 20th-century, runs from April 25-May 6. During this time, there will be two opportunities to see the trilogy over three consecutive evenings, and four opportunities to see all three plays in one day.

The Griffith Park Free Shakespeare Festival continues with INDEPENDENT SHAKESPEARE CO.'s riotous rock & roll production of THE TWO GENTLEMEN OF VERONA. Directed by Independent Shakespeare Co.'s Managing Director, David Melville, THE TWO GENTLEMEN OF VERONA will begin previews at THE GRIFFITH PARK FREE SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL on Saturday, July 29 at 7pm and will open on Saturday, August 5 at 7:00pm and perform through Sunday, September 3 at the Old Zoo in Griffith Park.

Great Lakes Theater (GLT), Cleveland's Classic Company, commences the second half its 2016-17 season with Agatha Christie's classic mystery thriller, And Then There Were None. The production will be performed in the company's intimate and audience-friendly home at the Hanna Theatre, Playhouse Square, February 26 - March 20, 2016. Charles Fee, GLT's Producing Artistic Director, directs the production. And Then There Were None is presented through special arrangement with SAMUEL FRENCH, INC.

TheatreWorks, the nationally acclaimed theatre of Silicon Valley, presents the regional premiere of 33 VARIATIONS, a play by Moises Kaufman (The Laramie Project) with live music. Spanning two centuries, this Tony- nominated drama follows a brilliant musicologist as she races against time to solve one of Beethoven's greatest mysteries. 33 VARIATIONS will be helmed by Founding Artistic Director Robert Kelley and plays October 3 - 28, 2012 (press opening October 6) at TheatreWorks at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts. Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced that due to unforeseen conflicts with Roger Rees' schedule, The Old Globe's upcoming production of What You Will has been replaced with Golda's Balcony starring four-time Tony Award nominee Tovah Feldshuh. Written by William Gibson and supervised by Scott Schwartz, Golda's Balcony earned Feldshuh a Tony Award nomination for Best Actress, and is the longest running one-woman show in Broadway history. Golda's Balcony will run in the Old Globe Theatre April 28 - May 30.

The Yale Repertory Theatre will present Danai Gurira's ECLIPSED with an opening night of October 29th. The cast will feature Pascale Armand, Zainab Jah, Adepero Oduye, Stacey Sargeant, and Shona Tucker.

Executive Producer Lou Spisto announced today that The Old Globe will produce the contemporary musical drama Street Lights. The new musical, created by composer and lyricist Joe Drymala, chronicles a group of inner city teenagers who fight to save their high school music program from being shut down. Directed by Ryan J. Davis, Street Lights uses hip hop, R&B and pop to tell a timeless story in the musical language of today's youth, while creating a bridge to earlier generations by incorporating samples of classic civil rights anthems.

TINY KUSHNER makes West Coast premiere at Berkeley Rep, begins previews on October 16, opens October 21, and closes November 29.

Francesca Annis, Lisa Dillon, Chris O'Dowd, Dominic Rowan and Catherine Tate are to star in the West End premiere of David Eldridge's Under The Blue Sky which will open at the Duke of York's Theatre on 25 July, with previews from 15 July, and is currently booking until 20 September 2008. Directed by Anna Mackmin, Under The Blue Sky is designed by Lez Brotherston with lighting by Mark Henderson and sound by Paul Arditti, and is produced in the West End by Sonia Friedman Productions and Robert G. Bartner. Final casting will be announced shortly.
