The Broadway cast of The Lion King took a break between shows on June 28th and took over a New York City subway car to give riders a little surprise. Check out their performance of 'Circle of Life' below!

Cast members from Broadway's THE LION KING were welcomed by First Lady Michelle Obama at the White House's Kids State Dinner on July 18th.

STARS IN THE ALLEY, presented by United Airlines, was presented earlier this week in Shubert Alley, between Broadway and 8th Avenue and 44th and 45th Streets. To add to the festivities leading up to the Tony Awards, the free outdoor concert in the heart of the Theatre District celebrated Broadway with star appearances and exciting performances from over 20 new shows and long-running favorites, accompanied by a live 12-piece orchestra. On Thursday, January 14, Disney Theatrical Productions welcomed Oscar, Tony, Grammy and Emmy Award winner Whoopi Goldberg (moderator of ABC's THE VIEW) to the cast of Broadway's landmark musical event, THE LION KING for one night only at the Minskoff Theatre. The appearance marked a return for Goldberg to the legit stage and her Lion King roots, having originated the voice of Shenzi the Hyena more than 15 years ago in the 1994 Disney animated feature. The Lion King went Live with Regis & Kelly from Las Vegas, Friday, November 27 at 9AM in a broadcast that features a special appearance by the Las Vegas company of The Lion King during the final 'Live with Regis & Kelly' remote broadcast from the Encore Wynn Las Vegas Resort.

The Lion King currently is running all over the world, including New York, London, Hamburg, Paris, Tokyo and Fukuoka, as well as the North American National Tour.
